About Saraswati
In Hinduism Saraswati is the Goddess of Knowledge, Music and the Arts. She is considered as consort of Brahma. She is the daughter of Durga and seen alongside her during Durga Puja celebrations along with her sister Lakshmi and her brothers
Ganesha and Karthikeya. Originally, Saraswati is considered to be Brahma’s ‘Manasputri’, ie daughter of imagination and was born as SHATARUPA. She issued from his mind to bring order into the confusion of universal creation. She presented Brahma with wisdom and knowledge. However, Brahma relentlessly pursued her with lust upon seeing her beauty. Shiva took the avatar of Bhairava to subdue Brahma\'s passion. Brahma came to his senses with this confrontation and he performed a yagna to cleanse himself, subsequently took the now agreeable Saraswati as his wife. Saraswati\'s children are the Vedas, which are the oldest sacred texts of Hinduism.
